Call for Writers! WE NEED YOU!

Jenne Walker

We’re looking for camp professionals interested in writing brief, general articles (not focusing on your camp or organization) about the value of summer camp experiences for the 2026 Summer Camps Guide, a special digital publication focusing on day and overnight camps in New Hampshire. Here are some topic ideas:

*In today’s divisive world, what lessons do campers learn at camp about getting along/negotiation skills (that are different than at school)?

*Is camp worth the financial investment? What can children get from camp that they can’t get from other summer experiences?

*In what ways are camps focusing more on being inclusive of all types of children?

*What are some ways that camps are providing or connecting with local communities or environments?

*Everything old is new again: what are some nostalgic or classic activities that camps are offering or tweaking?

*What are ways that camps are offering more personalized experiences for campers or making things easier for parents?

Of course, we’re always interested in articles that talk about how camps are focusing on awareness and emphasis on providing mental health services and assistance or dealing with medical or social/emotional/behavioral concerns.

Length ranges from 200-500 words. If interested, please propose topics NO LATER THAN Thursday February 19 to Marcy Kornreich at marcykorn1@gmail.com. Final, pre-approved submissions are due no later than Thursday February 26.

Thank you in advance!!
