About Camp Starfish
Starfish is different-because our campers are too. We provide summer camp and year-round respite programs for children with significant emotional social behavioral and learning problems. Uniquely created to offer a traditional camp experience for campers who do not succeed in “typical” environments. Starfish has a 1:1 staff-to-camper ratio at all times. We offer both fun and intentional guided growth in a safe nurturing and well – supervised therapeutic environment. Practice with social and coping skills individualized behavior plans and daily work on personal goals are incorporated into camp life just like swimming crafts and campfires are. Well-trained mature and “kid-approved” staff help campers feel welcome make friends (for some it’s the first time ever!) and discover their strengths.
