About Camp Deerwood
Deerwood is an overnight camp for boys on beautiful Squam Lake in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Campers stay for three and a half or seven weeks and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of waterfront and craft activities, traditional landsports, and backpacking and canoe trips. In addition to the usual camp activities, Deerwood offers blacksmithing, mountain-biking, lacrosse, kayaking and fly-fishing. The camper to staff ratio is 2 to 1 and staff and campers alike return year after year. Since its establishment in 1945, Deerwood has been run by three generations of the Thomsen family.
