Marine Safety Services for
NH Summer Camps 2010
NHCDA and the New Hampshire Department of Safety (Marine Patrol) endeavor to provide timely and efficient opportunities for New Hampshire summer camps to have their motorized watercraft inspected and registered as well as for camp staff to attain their Commercial Boat Drivers License. The following outlines our approach for the 2010 season.
Commercial Boat Inspections
Available March, April and May
At various sites according to schedule published by Marine Patrol at:
Regional sites for camps in June
June 6 Deerwood on Squam Lake in Holderness
June 7 Tevya on Lake Potanipo in Brookline
June 8 Belknap on Winnipesaukee in Tuftonboro
June 13 Brookwoods/Deer Run on Winnipesaukee in Alton
June 14 Huckins on Ossipee Lake in Freedom
June 15 Pasquaney on Newfound Lake in Hebron
- On-site at your camp
Depending on attendance at regional sites (above), time may be available to visit camps local to the regional site. Hourly fee and mileage would apply.
Available by appointment at your camp after June 25 at no charge or for a fee of $180 if prior to June 25 if unable to attend at prescribed sites as outlined above. Hardship must be demonstrated.
- Attendance Criteria
Boat registrations must be submitted to DMV in Concord at least two weeks prior to inspection date…so there is time to process paperwork and courier to Marine Patrol headquarters in Gilford
Must notify Marine Patrol at least one week in advance of inspection site choice…so they can schedule your visit and be sure to have your boat registration when you arrive
Note: camps may motor to sites on inspection date even though boat is unregistered
